Why start a blog?

Dear readers,

I know what y'all might be thinking. What possibly could she talk about in a blog that she couldn't on Facebook or Twitter? Well, although, I personally love Facebook and Twitter. I think that sometimes it's not always the best outlet that people have to express themselves clearly and accurately. For example, have any of you ever had a bad day and were mad or sad? Then the next second before you even fully realize what you're doing, you're typing away on your phone on social media just lashing out. Later on you're looking back and even deleting what you previously posted, because you didn't feel the same way anymore? I don't know about you all, but personally, I have had quite a few similar incidents and I remember being ashamed that I let my emotions get the best of me, and embarrassed that I basically let the world know too. 

We live in a time where everything is so easily accessible all the time. A lot of people, including myself, feel a need to let everybody on social media know what we are thinking, or doing all of the time. Instead of posting something in a possible moment of a lack of clarity, I want to be able to express myself and share my experiences in an outlet that gives me the ability to compose myself in a manner that I feel like better reflects me as a person. That is why I started a blog. 

In my blog I will be sharing my experiences in life as a mother, as a student, as a woman, and so on. I will also, be sharing my thoughts and ideas on really anything that comes to mind. I look forward to sharing with you all, and even more so for the feedback you all give me. So, feel free to comment, follow me, and e-mail me about anything you'd like. I am always looking for people to share their similar or different experiences with me, topics you would like me to write about, constructive criticism, anything!
